Background
America’s most successful and dynamic businessman, Tom Hopkins did not find success easily. In his own words, he chucked out of college after only 90 days. By the time he was 19, he was married and with a baby on the way. Then he took a job in construction, but not for long. Soon Tom realized it wasn’t the kind of job he wanted for the rest of his life. He then quit his construction job and became a real estate agent, believing that it would be an easier job.
When Tom Hopkins began in real estate, his first six months were unsuccessful. Even though he had only sold one home, he averaged $42 a month in commissions. At this point, he had less than $150 left in his savings account. However, when a man came into his real estate office with an offer for a three-day J. Douglas Edwards Sales Training Seminar, it proved to be a lifesaver. Tom had not yet heard of either sales training or Mr. Edwards, but he still decided to invest his last few dollars in the program.
Through the ups and downs of a selling career, as a business owner, professional speaker and trainer, Tom Hopkins has maintained his dedication to the continued growth of his students. He firmly believes that everyone can benefit from utilizing his proven techniques, ideas, concepts and values!
