Kathy Lemay is hired to speak at events and conferences where she can give expertise on important global business affairs. She is the founder, president, and chief executive officer of Raising Change, a group that raises money to promote social change and kindness worldwide. Kathy LeMay started it, runs it, and is in charge of it.

LeMay is a well-known public speaker who has taught top executives from JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, and CitiFinancial how to raise money for social change and do charity work. LeMay’s global advocacy began when she worked with women who had survived the war in war-torn Yugoslavia. She has been featured on Oprah and the Oxygen network for taking charge of her life and making a difference.

Kathy LeMay has spent her whole life trying to make the world a better place. At 14, she started a movement against apartheid in her small mill town in Massachusetts.

In 2000, LeMay was elected for a Reebok Human Rights Award for her 15 years of work as a human rights activist. The Generosity Plan, her first book, came out in January 2010 from Simon & Schuster/Atria and Beyond Words.Business West Magazine chose her as one of the “40 Under 40.” She just got the 2012 First One Access Award, which goes to well-known people who were the first in their families to go to college and do something inspiring with that.

Since then, Kathy has traveled all over the country and the world to talk to, learn from, and raise money for people who have been through war, genocide, violence against women, and natural disasters. During her work, Kathy has raised $175 million, led global organizations for women’s human rights, become a well-known public speaker and author, and advised some of the most well-known philanthropists in the world on their charitable work. Kathy realized she didn’t feel like she had made it when she was in these positions of power. In selflessness, she felt empty and lost.

Kathy is going back to where she came from, to where thirty years of global social revolution began. She is learning all over again what it means to tell her story, feeds families at soup kitchens, and listen deeply to each person’s life and story. She’s also learning how to teach anyone to read. Kathy is using journalism to record what people say and do. She plans to have her first show in 2020.

Much talk goes on about what it will take to eliminate poverty, treat diseases, and make the world fair. But what will it take to make changes that will last? Author Kathy LeMay will tell stories about women from all over the world, including the United States, who have successfully used their voices, activism, and money to make the world a better place. With LeMay’s unique way of speaking, your audience will learn how to use their voice, skills, talents, and resources to make a difference both globally and locally.

Kathy has been on radio and TV shows like Oxygen TV and The Oprah Show. She is a member of Feminist.com’s Advisory Board and writes for World Pulse Magazine.
