In 2004, he negotiated the merger of the Western Policy Center with the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

He has talked about national security on Bloomberg News, CNN, FOX News, and CNN International, among other U.S. and international news outlets, and has testified before Congress. He has also been interviewed on Chinese, Russian, German, Italian, Greek, Turkish, Israeli, and Arab television, as well as in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Washington Times, Politico, National Public Radio, Euromoney, Asia Times, Institutional Investor, South China Morning Post, and other leading print and digital media.

Sitilides are on the Board of Directors of 3doo, Inc., a VR360 media technology company. He is also on the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees of Leadership 100, a national Orthodox Christian foundation. He was on the Board of Directors of Biovest, which worked on personalized cancer immunotherapies. He also served as chairman of the worldwide charity organisation International Orthodox Christian Charities and the Board of Governors of the Advanced Imaging Society, which supported the creative efforts and technical advances of the international film industry.
