Eli Manning is a former American football quarterback who played for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL) for 16 seasons. He is the son of former NFL quarterback Archie Manning and the younger brother of former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning.
Manning played college football at the University of Mississippi, where he was a two-time All-SEC selection and a member of the team that won the Cotton Bowl Classic in 2003. He was then selected as the first overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers, but was later traded to the Giants.
As a member of the Giants, Manning won two Super Bowls, both against the New England Patriots, and was named the Super Bowl MVP on both occasions. He also led the Giants to four NFC East division titles and six playoff appearances.
Throughout his career, Manning was known for his leadership and clutch performances in big games. He was selected to four Pro Bowls and was named the NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2011.
