Speaker Bio

To decrease avoidable employee turnover, Cara Silletto works with firms of all sizes to bridge generational gaps and improve the effectiveness of managers in their responsibilities. As a Millennial herself, she understands what it’s like to have a heightened sense of entitlement, minimal employee loyalty, and reliance on her smartphone to get by in the modern world.

Siletto, on the other hand, has found out exactly how these characteristics were developed throughout her formative years, and she now shares her experience with executives all over the country, including a team at Toyota, UPS, Cintas, and Humana, among others.

Her Baby Boomer and Generation X mentors taught Silletto what “professionalism” meant to them early in her career. She also gained valuable insight into the demands of upper-level management throughout her first year in the business world.

It was from there that she went on to earn her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the top-ranked University of Louisville Entrepreneurship program, spent a year abroad teaching German executives about business practices in the United States, and eventually founded her consulting firm, Magnet Culture, in 2012.

Today, she is a highly sought-after national speaker who does 50 to 100 engagements per year across the country. According to the publication Louisville Business First, she was recently named one of 2018 Forty Under Forty young professionals.

Silletto was recognized as a “Game Changer” by Workforce Magazine in Chicago for her creative approach to resolving generational concerns in the workplace, and Recruiter.com named her one of the “Top 10 Corporate Culture Experts to Watch.” She is also the author of the book Staying Power: Why Your Employees Leave & How to Keep Them for a Longer period, which is available on Amazon.

Good speakers don’t just fill time slots; they also solve the challenges that your firm is facing. Cara Silletto is ready to support you in effectively addressing the turnover issue you are experiencing. Unlike the majority of human resources consultants, she does not dabble in other human resources concerns like harassment, compliance, and workplace aggression.

Her sole concern is with retention! She provides significant, relevant content to individuals who are looking for proven answers through the use of original tales, examples, and tactics.

The author of “Staying Power: Why Your Employees Leave & How to Keep Them Longer,” Cara has been featured in numerous media, including Forbes magazine, the Boston Globe newspaper, the Huffington Post, and The Huffington Post Women’s Network.

In Chicago, Workforce Magazine named her a “Game Changer” for her creative approach to addressing generational challenges in the workplace, which was recognized by the publication.

She was named to Recruiter.com’s “Top 10 Corporate Culture Experts to Watch” list, and she was named one of Louisville, Kentucky’s “Forty Under 40” honorees in 2013. Previously, she served as president of both the Affiliation for Talent Development (ATD) Kentuckiana Chapter and the Kentucky Chapter of the National Speakers Association (NSA), and she expects to receive her Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation from the National Speakers Association in 2020.

Cara is a Midwest-based public speaker who resides in Southern Indiana and travels out of the Louisville, Kentucky International Airport (SDF). She’s a short drive from cities such as Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Columbus, Nashville, Chicago, and St. Louis, among others.
