Linda Yueh is a highly-sought keynote speaker and expert covering such topics as economics, future trends, and business. She is a best-selling author, consultant, media pundit, and thought-leader who has spoken at many conferences around the world where she gives leaders the skills they need to deal with fast, big changes in society, the workplace, and education.
Linda Yueh is hired to speak at events and conferences where she can give expertise on important global business affairs. She teaches economics at Oxford University’s St Edmund Hall and as an adjunct professor at London Business School. She is a Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science’s LSE IDEAS and an Associate Fellow at Chatham House’s Global Economy and Finance Programme and the U.S. and the Americas Programme.
Professor Yueh serves as the advisor for the Board of Trade. She also holds the position of Executive Chair of the Royal Commonwealth Society, in addition to her role as Chair of the Council of Commonwealth Societies. According to Newsweek, the title of the book that was published in the United States as the American adaptation of What Would the Great Economists Do? was How Twelve Brilliant Minds Would Solve Today’s Biggest Problems (Picador/Macmillan). She was the host of many different television programs for the BBC, such as “The New Middle Class,” “Next Billionaires,” and “Working Lives.” In addition to that, she has been a host for radio programs on BBC Radio 4 as well as the World Service. She served as the chief business journalist for BBC News and was the host of the show Talking Business, which aired on BBC World and the BBC News Channel. Previously, she had worked for Bloomberg TV as an editor and anchor for the economics department.
Yueh as a visiting lecturer in the department of economics in Peking University.She has served as the chairman of both the LSE Economic Diplomacy Commission and as a member of the Independent Review Panel on Ring-fencing and Proprietary Trading for the United Kingdom Treasury.
She has been a consultant for various organizations, including the World Bank, the European Commission, the Asian Development Bank, and the Davos World Economic Forum. JPMorgan Asia Growth & Income plc and Baillie Gifford’s Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust plc were publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange.
She was a Non-Executive Director for both of them. She was also the Co-Chair of the London First Global Cities Business Alliance (GCBA), a Board Member of London & Partners, a Member of the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF) Advisory Board, and a Consultant to the British Chamber. She was a former employee of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and worked there as an attorney.
