He is a best-selling author, consultant, media pundit, and thought-leader who has spoken at many conferences around the world where he gives leaders the skills they need to deal with fast, big changes in society, the workplace, and education.

Before this, he was the founder, chief engagement officer, and chief consultant of HR Solutions International, a company he started in March 1995 that taught “Best Practices” for employee engagement and how to measure it.

Kevin worked for Chase Manhattan Bank, NA, for four years before attending business school. He did this in New York, London, and Japan. Then, he went to Harvard while still working at Goldman, Sachs & Co. After he graduated from Harvard, Kevin started the company Collegiate Research Services, Inc. (CRS). CRS was made so the American Career and College Entry Service could be made (ACCES). With the help of a poll, ACCES set up the first electronic link between post-secondary institutions that offer further education and training and high school students. Wrote about this in some publications, including Business Week and USA Today.
Kevin has a unique view on diversity because he is not Native American but grew up on an Indian reservation in northern Wisconsin. Because of this, Kevin’s love for and interest in diversity and being open to everyone changed. He lives in a suburb of Chicago with his wife and two daughters, and he knows enough about both Spanish and Japanese to get by.
Kevin got his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1988. He focused on Managerial Decision-making and Strategy, Human Resources Management, & Organizational Behavior.
He gives a lot of money to the American Cancer Society, Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, Chicago Lyric Opera Green World Campaign, Compassion International, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Maine Wilderness Watershed Trust, Noble Network of Charter Schools, Right Angle, Special Olympics, and The Student Sponsorship Program (South Africa). Some of the volunteer work I’ve done in the past includes teaching at the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia and giving food & counseling at a shelter for homeless men in Washington, DC.
Kevin loves to climb to high altitudes when he’s not at work. He has climbed mountains in the Himalayas (including many peaks and trails in Nepal’s Annapurna region), Africa (19,700-foot Mount Kilimanjaro), Alaska (20,320-foot Mount McKinley), Argentina (23,000-foot Mount Aconcagua), and Russia (18,510-foot Mt. Elbrus). On his last mountaineering trip, he went to the Alps and climbed Mount Blanc and the Matterhorn. Fly fishing, water and snow skiing, cooking, & traveling are some of his other hobbies. Between work trips and vacations, he has been to more than sixty-five countries.
