Glenn Llopis is a performance culture keynote speaker and expert who covers such topics as hispanic business, diversity and inclusion, workplace culture, leadership, change management, business growth, and more.
Glenn Llopis is a Cuban-American businessman, best-selling author, and legal adviser to Fortune 500 firms in health insurance, retail, consumer packaging, and other industries. He is a former C-suite executive and the current head of Glenn Llopis Group (GLLG), a nation’s leading human capital and workforce development consulting organization.
Llopis earned a bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of California, Los Angeles. After graduating from UCLA, he worked as a senior representative for the Gallo Wine Company and became the youngest executive in the 100-year history of Sunkist Juice Beverages. Leading the effective turnaround of Sunkist’s juice beverage segment paved the way for his next attempt as a senior executive with American Seafoods Company, where he oversaw the restaurant and large retailer’s operational units at 30. The outcome was a gain in market share, the introduction of new brands, and a complete makeover of the organization.
In 1997, Glenn Llopis established his first company, Luna Rossa Gourmet Food, which sold, marketed, and distributed gourmet veggies, pasta, and salad dressings under the Luna Rossa and Chef’s Harvest brands. In 2007, he formed the Glenn Llopis Company to concentrate his work on “immigrant viewpoint” leadership and business growth. As a member of GLLG, Llopis founded the Centre for Hispanic Leaders (CHL), which established economic benefits for Fortune 500 firms via the cultivation and promotion of elite Hispanic talent.
Glenn, well-known for helping firms relocate HR leadership from where it belongs to strategic plan and transformation, use research-derived tactics to assist leaders in driving business growth via shared leadership and the potential of uniqueness.
His objective is to encourage these leaders to be more accessible and adopt a new way of thinking and an innovative mentality mindset in order to help them adapt and remain ahead of the fast changes in the work environment and marketplace in order to create success.
Llopis created the Cultural Demographic ShiftTM or CDS as part of his work for GLLG. Llopis’ existing projects on the CDS and innovation attitude are founded on the lessons of his father Frank Llopis’ “immigrant perspective.” Frank was a notable Latin music pioneer who, with his quartet Los Llopis, incorporated rock ‘n’ roll into the rhythms and melodies of Salsa and Merengue music. Victims of Castro’s revolution, Frank and his wife managed to escape to the United States, where he performed his final concert before joining the team that produced Miller Lite.
The author Llopis contributes to Forbes, Business, and the Harvard Business Reviews. Forbes ranked him among the top twenty most influential writers, while Inc. magazine ranked him among the top one hundred leadership speakers and business thinkers.
His books, speaking engagements, and consultancy projects focus on enhancing inclusive leadership and diversity, upgrading corporate cultures and developing teams in a wisdom-based economy, optimizing organizational and individual potential, and enabling company evolution and growth through the Culture Demographic ShiftTM.
Glenn is a part of the Kellogg Innovation System and the Brittingham Social Entrepreneurship Lab advisory board together at Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California. He serves on the board of Lion’s Hearts, a national, non-profit volunteer work organization encouraging young leadership and volunteerism. In addition, he is a consultant for Student Organizations and a partner of the elite think tank Renaissance Weekend.
