Speaker Bio

Don Peppers, a prominent author and co-founder of Peppers and Rogers Groups with Martha Rogers Ph.D., is one of the world’s leading authorities on customer-focused business strategy. CX Speakers, a new company focusing in customer experience seminars, keynote presentations, and consulting, is his most recent initiative.

Peppers’s work examines a variety of difficulties faced by multinational firms today, including how to remain competitive. His twelfth book, “Customer Experience: What, How, and Why Now,” is a collection of bite-sized “how-to” guidelines for establishing and sustaining a customer-centric business. The customer experience is the primary focus of this report, but corporate culture, strategy, technology, and data analytics are also discussed.

Together with Martha Rogers, Peppers has sold over a million books in 18 different languages. The Editor-in-Chief of Inc. Magazine referred to their debut book as “one of the two or three most essential business books ever written” and a “bible for modern marketing” in a 1993 Business Week article. As a tribute, they were inducted into the Direct Marketing Hall of Fame in 2013.

“Extreme Trust: Turning Proactive Honesty and Flawless Executions into Long-Term Profit” is Peppers and Rogers’ seventh book (Penguin, 2016). Wiley Publishers’ graduate textbook Managing Customer Experiences, and Relationships: A Strategic Perspective should have a third printing in 2017.

Don has been recognised as one of LinkedIn’s Top 10 Marketing Influencers due to his regular output of new content. Don Peppers and Martha Rogers’ collaboration ranked first among the most influential leaders in customer contact in 2015. The “Business Brain” list of the Times of London and the Accenture Institute for Strategic Change identify Don as one of the fifty most influential living business thinkers.

Before establishing CX Speakers and Peppers and Rogers Group, Don was the CEO of a top-20 direct marketing company. In 1995, he published Life’s a Pitch: Then You Buy, which covers his career as a well-known advertising salesman.

Previously, he was an economist for the oil industry and the accounting director for a small airline. Master of Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University; Bachelor of Science in Astronautical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy. Additionally, he is a devoted spouse and father of five children.

How organisations may remain competitive in a world when everything is accessible to the public. Prior to the widespread use of the Internet and social networking, Don Peppers and Martha Rogers established the concept of managing interactive customer connections in their 1993 book The One-to-One Future According to the predictions of Extreme Trust, businesses will be required to protect their customers and employees even if doing so costs them money now.

The increasing significance of “trustworthiness” will have a substantial impact on all businesses. It implies that retail banks cannot rely on overdraft fees to the same extent as in the past. The receivers of gift cards will expect businesses to inform them of any remaining balances. Credit card companies routinely offer clients advice on how to avoid overspending. Consumers’ selection of a calling plan is a concern for cell phone service providers. Success will be achieved by bottom-up solutions from employees and customers, not by top-down rules and processes. As a result, the most successful businesses will be able to gain and maintain the confidence of their customers and business partners.
