Kadakia is thrilled to announce that she has been named to the Business Journal’s list of “POWER 30 UNDER 30 AND CLO LEARNING IN PRACTICE” for the second consecutive year. Additionally, she was named to ATD’s “ONE TO WATCH” list. In response to our question about what it means to her to be a leader, she stated, “Qualities that create a leader include passion, determination, inventiveness, and optimism. In addition to being appreciative of the opportunity to work with colleagues that make each day an experience I look forward to sharing with my teammates, I am humbled to earn this accolade.”

Kadakia began her professional career as a Chemical Engineering student at The University of Texas at Austin, a wonderful addition to the already excellent news. Camping and adventure travel are two of her favourite pastimes when she isn’t hard at work in the office or spending quality time with her family, which includes her husband, Jeremy. The two of them have lately returned from a trip through Europe.

The Millennial Myth is an excellent book to read if you want to have a better understanding of millennials and assist them to thrive inside your organization. A look at the six fallacies that surround millennials and their status in the workplace are explored in the book. Throughout the book, the author proposes ideas to assist the generations who are now working together in a cooperative environment.

The strategy taken by the author to adjust for digital distractions is the most significant thing to take away from the book. According to popular belief, millennials place a high value on technology over face-to-face communication, and employers must address this issue head-on. Kadakia advises businesses to experiment with various tactics, such as offering flexible work hours and utilizing technology to share knowledge and communicate effectively.

A road map to help learning and development professionals learn about the transformational design paradigm, the OK-LCD Model for building high-impact, knowledge-rich digital learning experiences, is provided in Designing for Modern Learning (DML). In this book, authors Leslie Owens and Laura Kadakia share their knowledge of the OK-LCD Model with readers. The authors have more than 30 years of combined expertise in productivity, e-learning, and performance support design. Designed for Learning: A Human-Centered Approach by Learning Solutions Press is the third book in the series Designing for Learning. It builds on the previous two books in the series: Learning Design: The Practice of the Art and Designing for Learning: A Human-Centered Approach.
