Speaker Bio

Christoph Roser is a highly-sought keynote speaker and expert covering such topics as manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics. He is a best-selling author, consultant, media pundit, and thought-leader who has spoken at many conferences around the world where he gives leaders the skills they need to deal with fast, big changes in society, the workplace, and education.

Christoph Roser is hired to speak at events and conferences where he can give expertise on important global business affairs. He is a production management professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe, Germany. He is also an expert in lean production. The University of Applied Sciences in Germany, where he studied automation engineering, and the University of Massachusetts, where he completed his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, researched flexible design techniques. After that, he spent the next five years working at the Toyota Central Research and Development Laboratories in Nagoya, Japan. There, he was responsible for researching the Toyota Production System and creating bottleneck identification and buffer allocation methods.

After his time at Toyota, he took a position at McKinsey & Company in Munich, Germany. He focused on lean manufacturing and was responsible for various projects across many different industries. Before launching a career in academia, he had positions at the Robert Bosch GmbH in Germany, first as a lean expert for research and training and later as a production logistics manager in the Bosch Thermotechnik Division he put his knowledge. In 2013, he was given a post at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe as a professor for production management, where he could continue his research and teaching on lean manufacturing.

The majority of Dr. Roser’s career has been spent working on lean projects in nearly two hundred different plants in a variety of industries such as automobile manufacturing, machine construction, solar cell manufacturing, chip manufacturing, the gas turbine industry, the paper manufacturing industry; logistics; power tools; heating; packaging; food processing; white goods; security technology; finance; and a variety of others. He has over fifty scholarly articles to his name and has won multiple awards for his writing. Along with his work on lean manufacturing, he is also interested in various approaches to a manufacturing organization, both historical and contemporary. He writes blog posts on his experiences and research, and he has recently published his first book, “Faster, Better, Cheaper,” which is about the history of manufacturing.

This book will teach you all that is necessary for you to know about pull systems. It is titled All About Pull Production: Designing, Implementing, and Maintaining Kanban, CONWIP, and other Pull Systems in Lean Production. It explains how to develop pull systems, execute them, and maintain them in modern mass production and lean manufacturing environments. You will receive in-depth and step-by-step instructions on deploying pull systems in your facility after purchasing this product. Additionally, it shows you how to recognize and get rid of the roadblocks that result in the way of a successful implementation.

The progression of “Faster, Better, Cheaper” in the History of Manufacturing tracks this change over several centuries. This book discusses the technological aspects (mechanization, power sources, new materials, interchangeable parts, electricity, and automation) and the organizational advances. The narrative focuses mainly on the people responsible for creating, producing, and promoting the various items.
