Because Keurig is a well-known brand with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 61 percent in net sales and 74 percent in operating profitability during her five years in charge, GMCR sales went from $493 million in 2008 to $4.3 billion in F.Y. 2013.

Before Michelle joined Keurig, she had a successful 25-year career at Gillette. During that time, Procter & Gamble bought Gillette 2005.

Michelle is on the boards of iRobot Corp, Tervis Tumbler Company, and Young Innovations Inc., and she is also a director advisor to The Cambridge Group (an AC Nielson Company), expert in residence at the Harvard Innovation Lab and a professional speaker on leadership, innovation, and women’s leadership.

Michelle used to be the President of KEURIG, INC., a $2 billion division of Keurig Green Mountain [NASDAQ: GMCR], where she oversaw the P&L and had direct reports in all functional areas. She was in charge of the products’ marketing and operations across all sales channels and the business partnership network. Keurig’s single-serve coffee system helped the company’s total GMCR sales grow from $493 million in 2008 to $4.3 billion in F.Y. 2013—a 61 percent CAGR in net sales and a 74 percent CAGR in operational profitability over her five-year tenure. Because she cared about leadership, sustainability, and the company’s culture, Keurig was named twice as one of the ten best places to work in Massachusetts.

Michelle used to work for GILLETTE for 25 years. During that time, in 2005, PROCTER & GAMBLE bought the company. Her last job at P&G was Vice President and General Manager Worldwide Profession – Oral Care. In this role, she was in charge of $220 million in net sales, 700 employees in more than 70 countries, over $20 million in cost reduction and integration efficiency, and a successful global organization.

She was the Vice President of Global Business Management for Oral-B, Professional, and Kids Oral Care, where she oversaw the global management and growth of the kid’s business and the B2B Professional business. Vice President of Global Business Management for Manual Oral Care, where she oversaw global business planning centered on product development and international market expansion, including the launch of the Oral-B Pulsar.

Before becoming a leader at Gillette, she was Vice President of Marketing, Grooming, and Personal Care. She oversaw net sales of more than $1.4 billion and helped launch Gillette Mach3 in the United States. He was also Vice President of Global Business Management-Stationery Products Division at Parker & Waterman, where he was in charge of global general management and new product development. She was part of the team that negotiated the acquisition of Rubbermaid in 2000.

Michelle’s first jobs were as a product manager at CLAIROL and RICHARDSON-VICKS.

She got her B.S. from Dartmouth College and her MBA from Northwestern University’s J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
