Larry started Brands With a Purpose, a series of in-depth “Fireside Chat” CEO brunches at The Harvard Club, where he talks to company executives about their corporate social responsibility (CSR) and charity work.

Larry and Roger Berkowitz co-host the CBS Boston/WBZ-TV podcast show Name Brands, which is called CEO Brand Leadership. In this smart, funny, entertaining debate show, top companies and their CEOs talk about their business goals and success stories.

Larry is a well-known speaker and thought leader. He has given over 75 keynote speeches, including one at the Babson College Annual Entrepreneurship Forum. He gave the graduation speech at the Hult International Business School, where he also serves as a judge for the annual Hult International Business Prize competition. The winning team gets $1 million to help them start their new business.

Larry started the well-known brand consulting and communications firm Gulko & Company and was its CEO for seventeen years. On his list of clients were Fortune 1000 companies, middle-market corporations, start-ups and organizations with growth plans, and non-profits. He is one of the people who started TechnoHome, which is a well-known company that makes fitness equipment that is based on the Milanese way of life.

Larry was the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at CYBEX International. In those roles, he devised new ways to market brands to consumers and formed important strategic partnerships.

He works for the C-Level Community as a senior advisor. Larry is part of the Consumer Products Council, Babson Connect Worldwide, and the Fashion Entrepreneurial Initiative at Babson College. He is on the board committees of ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership, The American Marketing Association, and George Washington University. He is also on a committee at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Larry and The Disney Institute worked together to make the Branding & Loyalty Retreat. He also runs the Fresh Look Brand Leadership Retreat for C-Suite executives, often appears on NBCUniversal NECN-Business TV’s Day, and wrote the book Brand Bites. He has also taught at Babson College’s Graduate School of Business in addition to the Executive Education program.
