Frank Figliuzzi is a highly-sought keynote speaker covering such topics as counterintelligence,terrorism, cybersecurity, and a regular columnist for NBC News and MSNBC and a national security commentator. He was the FBI’s assistant director for counterintelligence, where he worked for 25 years as a special agent and oversaw all government espionage investigations. “The FBI Way: Inside the Bureau’s Code of Excellence,” is his book.
Frank Figliuzzi was the Assistant Director for Counterintelligence at the FBI and a Special Agent for 25 years. Frank appears frequently on live tv for MSNBC and NBC news in his present job as a recognised National Security Analyst. Frank served in various FBI leadership roles in most American cities before being named Chief Inspector of the FBI by then-Director Robert Mueller to supervise sensitive internal investigations, performance audits, and shooting reviews. Frank went on to work for a Fortune ten business as a corporate security executive, where he oversaw workplace violence prevention, global investigations, insider threat, and special event protection for 200,000 employee in 180 countries.
Mr. Figliuzzi oversaw all espionage investigations across the US government as the Bureau’s head of Counterintelligence. Frank informed the Congress, White House, and the Attorney General on a regular basis. Mr. Figliuzzi oversaw the FBI’s Office of Responsibility’s internal disciplinary branch, which investigated complaints of serious misbehaviour against FBI officials. THE FBI WAY: Inside the Bureau’s Code of Excellence is Frank’s first book.
Frank is known for his lucid and captivating television commentary on the Special Counsel inquiry into Russian meddling in the 2016 US presidential election, as well as his coverage of devastating mass shootings. His FBI career involve: leading the FBI’s efforts to combat economic espionage in California, Silicon Valley;public corruption investigations and major financial crimes in Florida, Miami, and Ohio Cleveland; serving as on-scene commander of the largest HAZMAT evidence recovery effort in FBI history at the site of the nation’s first murder on anthrax in Boca Raton, Florida; and publicly explaining the FBI’s successful operation against 10 Russian sleuths.
Mr. Figliuzzi graduated from Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Juris Doctorate cum laude from the University of Connecticut School of Law. Frank completed certificate programmes at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government’s National Security Program for Senior Executives in Government and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management’s executive course on Leading Strategic Change. He is in high demand as a lecturer, instructor and panelist on topics such as leadership,risk management, violence prevention, and the internal and external dangers that the US faces.
